RE: about to start our first big road trip

thanks for all the advice. We are towing it with a Toyota Hybrid Highlander, so hopefully that will be good. I think our tires are OK...one was flat after sitting for a while, I took it in and they said it looked fine, just lost air pressure sitting for a bit. Did about a 200 mile round trip drive in May and it was fine, so i think we are good. Thanks all!

RE: about to start our first big road trip

ok, sounds like we wont fill the tank. i wonder if we will want it at all....is it easy to make in drinkable? and if it starts to sway, slow down (slowly) i assume? and lastly, greasing hte bearings...i imagine i should do this as these are the original tires. It doesnt have a lot of miles on it-it hastn been used much which is good, but it hasnt been cared for much either. Should i run it to a tire store to have them grease them? Or do it on my own?

TT? WDH? not sure what those are. Could we get bigger tires to make it safer?

about to start our first big road trip

We are towing a Palomino pony across the west starting next week. Im sure we'll learn a bunch, but two quick questions 1) We've never used the water tank in the pony (we bought this used from a friend last year, its a 2004)...whats the best way to clean this? DO people use these? Seems like it would be nice, but im not sure id drink it and since its cold water not great for washing..but i hate to let an empty tank sit there...thoughts? and 2) What are safe towing speeds with one of these? 65? 70? 75? Thanks

RE: 2004 palomino stove question

hmm..thanks. Was wondering if there was a "safety" issue. We use the propane for the heater from time to time, so im not sure bypassing the regulator would allow me to sleep at night. Thanks for the reply!

2004 palomino stove question

hey all new here, new to RVing. We bought a 2004 palomino Pop-up for camping. There is a propane stove that attaches to the side. I ~hate~ this thing. It takes like half an hour to boil water. I guess maybe its a BTU issue? Anyway, is there some sort of after-market stove that folks can recommend? Im not super handy so i dont really want to do any retro fitting, especially when dealing with gas, but it does look like a fairly standard connection... any ideas? thanks...
